Oasis Digipak
The Oasis digipak has 6 panels, and the design clearly shows what genre it is. The acoustic guitar on the front shows that it is indie-rock, and the choice of organic colours help to create a indie theme around the digipak. The digipak uses two types of fonts, one for the main text (track listing, CD title, volume number etc.) and a more distinctive font for the band name. The digipak uses various photos of the guitar from different angles on each panel, and follows all of the digipak conventions. This digipak relates to our genre and audience because of the colour schemes associated with indie, and the guitar that is a well known instrument in indie music.
Angela Easterling Digipak
The Engela Easterling digipak has 4 panels, and follows the conventions of a digipak. The front cover has a clear image of the artist and uses a style of font that looks very old and 'hippie'. Although the digipak uses many colours, it works well, because the washed out colours suit the newspaper/magazine layout on the inside. The digipak only uses two fonts and, has played about with the text a lot on the outside and inside covers (rotating, different sizes etc.). The digipak has also used a pocket for the CD to be pulled out from rather than a plastic case, which helps to show the graphics that would of been hidden behind the CD. This digipak relates to our genre and audience because it uses the type of fonts associated with Indie, and has a very clear photo of the artist wearing indie styled clothes with a guitar in her hand.
Corrine Riley Rae Digipak
The Corrine Riley Rae digipak has 4 panels, and is more modern looking indie digipak. The digipak uses the same font for the main text on the front and back, and has used two photos that have been edited to bring out the bright colours from the background. The pose of the artist on the front is very typical of female indie artists such as 'Florence and the machine'. The digipak follows all of the conventions of a digipak and has used photography very well in representing the genre. This digipak relates to our genre and audience because the photo on the front shows a typical female indie pose and uses very organic colours.
