Research - Analysis of 3 digipaks that relate to our genre

The Au Revoir Simone digipak has 6 panels, and follows the conventions of a digipak. The front cover is very simple and has a clear image of a tree which gives us the idea of a 'hippie'genre which is indie. Throughout the digipak the style is shown similar the use of blue background and blurred images of branches and flowers. The digipak uses two types of fonts only. This digipak relates to our genre and audience because it uses the type of fonts associated with Indie clear and simple, and has a very clear photo of the type of music it might be.

The Oasis digipak has 6 panels, and the looking at the design clearly shows what genre it is. The guitar on the front tells the audience it is indie-rock, and the use of colours help to create a indie theme around the digipak. This digipak uses two types of fonts aswell, agan keeping it simple and effective, one for the main text (track listing, CD title, volume number etc.) and a more distinctive font for the band name. The digipak uses various photos of the guitar from different angles on as it flows on each panel, and follows all of the digipak conventions. This digipak relates to our genre and audience because of the colour schemes associated with indie, and the guitar that is a well known instrument in indie music.

The Corrine Riley Rae digipak has 4 panels, and is a more of a modern look. The digipak uses the same font for the main text on the front and back, and has used two photos that have been edited to bring out the bright colours from the background. Using backgrounds of trees and leaves makes it much easier for the audience to understand the genre of the music. This digipak relates to our genre and audience because the photo on the front shows a typical female indie pose and uses very organic colours.
